Days 13 and 14 - Heading Home
In order to squeeze out as much as possible from Crete, Chz and I decide to book a flight on Aegean Airlines back to the mainland and our flight back to London. Getting to the airport in Heraklio and onto the plane was not a problem. The first indication of a problem was the mass groan from other passengers on the plane following an announcement in Greek. I figured we were going to have to get off the plane and wait some more. An hour and change later, back on the plane and in Athens shortly thereafter. On the plus side, I now have a voucher for one free Aegean Airlines domestic Greek flight, valid for one year except in June, July, August, the weeks of and following Easter and Christmas. I wonder if its transferrable.
The flights on Day 13 were otherwise uneventful and we managed to squeeze in a birthday party after we get back into London.
Day 14 was basically a bacon sandwich and the cattle-class flight back to Toronto on Air Transat.
Anyways, I'm home!
